Abstract
The present Ordinance introduces some amendments to the Battery Ordinance (BGBl. II No. 159/2008). In particular, the Ordinance amends article 8 dealing with removing of batteries from electrical appliances. Manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment have to design devices in such a way that portable batteries can be readily removed by the end consumer or otherwise qualified professionals. Moreover, article 27 on «Implementation of European Union Law» is reworded.
