Carinthia Electricity Industry and Organization Law 2011 (K-ElWOG).

The present Law implements the Electricity and Electricity Organization Act 2010 (BGBl. I No. 110/2010). The Law lays down provisions relating to the production, transfer and distribution of electricity in the Land of Carinthia. The aim of the Law is to make available to the people and to the industry electricity being at the same time environment-friendly, reasonable priced, sufficient, secure and of high quality; to create a market organization according to EU-guidelines and to the principles of national law; to further an even greater part of renewable energy in the sphere of electricity production; and, finally, to protect the people from harmful effects from production plants. The text consists of 75 articles divided into 8 Parts as follows: General provisions (1); Establishment of production plants (2); Operation of networks (3); Producers and production facilities, electricity traders (4); Obligations to customers (5); Balance-sheet (6); Provisions on organization (7); Penalties, final and transitional provisions (8).
