Abstract
The present Ordinance introduces the Council Directive 2001/113/EC of 20 December 2001 relating to fruit jams, jellies and marmalades and sweetened chestnut pur e intended for human consumption into Austrian national legislation. At the outstest it contains provisions relating to the sphere of application as well as to the various terms therein employed, such as "jam", jam extra , "preserve", "jelly", etc. In particular, it sets out the quality standards for these products. The Ordinance consists of 7 articles and 1 Annexe.
