Abstract
This Directive lays down special standards which shall apply to the products defined in Annex I, namely jam, extra-jam and jelly. It shall not apply to products intended for the manufacture of fine bakery wares, pastries or biscuits. Only the ingredients listed in Annex II and raw materials which comply with Annex III may be used in the manufacture of the above-mentioned products. As a general rule, Directive 2000/13/EC in matter of labelling shall apply to such products, subject to the conditions established in article 2 hereto. In particular, the product names listed in Annex I shall apply only to the products referred therein and shall be used in trade to designate them. Furthermore, the labels shall indicate the fruit content as well as the sugar content.
