Law establishing the Biosphere Reserve „Nockberge“.

In addition to the provisions of the Carinthia National Park and the Biosphere Reserve Law, the present Law declares the areas outlined in article 3 as “Biosphere Reserve Nockberge”. By striking a balance between human needs and nature protection, the area shall be conserved for future generations and represent a basis for livelihoods and capital for further economic, social and cultural developments. The text consists of 10 articles as follows: Establishment of the Biosphere Reserve (1); Area of the Biosphere Reserve (2); Protection and development objectives of the biosphere reserve (3); Relationship to the Carinthian National Park and Biosphere Reserve Law (4); Conservation area (5); Buffer zone (6); Development zone (7); Marking of the Biosphere Reserve (8); Assessment (9); Reference (10).
Furthermore, the present Law introduces some small amendments to the Carinthia National Park and the Biosphere Reserve Law (LGBl. LGBl. No. 55/1983).
