Abstract
The aim of the present Act is, inter alia, to make available environmental-friendly, cheap, sufficient and high quality natural gas to the Austrian people and economy thus guaranteeing the efficient production of electricity and heat, as well as to create a safe infrastructure ensuring a constant natural gas supply by the European Community. The text consists of 79 articles divided into 10 Parts as follows: Principles (1); Accounting, internal organization, transparency of natural gas enterprises (2); Duty to give information, trade secrets (3); Running of nets (4); Users of nets (5); Pipelines for natural gas (6); Statistics (7); Authorities and proceedings (8); Penalties (9); Repeal, transitional and final provisions (10).
