Abstract
This regulation applies to invasive non-native mammals and birds listed under EU Regulation 1143/2014 or designated as nationally significant invasive species in Austria. It requires authorized hunters to kill or trap these species within their hunting areas using standard, humane methods while observing relevant legal restrictions. Hunters must report all killings or discovered carcasses annually by the end of February to district hunting authorities, and enforcement officials must inform hunters of any sightings. Monitoring responsibilities include compiling and forwarding reported data for mapping species distribution at the state level. The regulation also prohibits feeding the listed invasive species, including by licensed hunters, regardless of general feeding allowances under hunting law. The text consists of 6 Articles.
