Abstract
The present Ordinance implements articles 9 and 17 of the Salzburg Cultivated Plants Protection Law (LGBl. No. 43/1949). The Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the fight against the potato ring rot. Article 2 establishes periodical controls to be carried out to detect the disease. Samples of stored plants must be analysed by authorized laboratories. Anyone suspecting the presence of ring rot on his field, or on stored potatoes, is due to inform at once the competent authority. Article 5 lays down detailed safety measures in case of contamination. For example, the area must be isolated and declared contaminated area; plant materials have to be destroyed, etc. The text consists of 15 articles.
