Abstract
An Ordinance to regulate the control of certain substances and products and their residues in living animals whose meat is destined for human consumption. Article 1 contains definitions of certain terms therein used, such as, for example, "official sampling", "registers", "substances not admitted", "residues", etc. Part 2 deals with official sampling by authorized veterinarians established by a special survey programme. Samples will have to be examined for residues by authorized laboratories according to EC standards. According to article 10, plants dealing with animals and meat production will have to register with the competent regional authority. Part 4 deals both with officials controls made on special occasions and measures to be taken following violations. The Ordinance consists of 21 articles divided into 5 Parts and 1 Annex.
