Abstract
The present Ordinance regulates the control of certain substances and products and their residues in living animals whose meat is destined for human consumption. Article 1 contains definitions of certain terms therein used, such as, for example, "official sampling", "registers", "substances not admitted", "residues", “products of aquaculture“, etc. Part 2 deals with official sampling by authorized veterinarians established by a special survey programme. Samples shall be examined for residues by authorized laboratories according to EC standards. According to article 10, plants dealing with animals and meat production shall register with the competent regional authority. Part 4 deals with officials controls made on special occasions. The Ordinance consists of 24 articles divided into 6 Parts and 1 Annex.
