Abstract
The present Ordinance implements the Food Safety and Consumer Protection Act (BGBl. I No. 13/2006). In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the safety of toys. The products listed in Annex 1 shall not be considered as toys within the meaning of this Ordinance. Article 3 establishes that when placing their toys on the market, manufacturers shall ensure that they: a) have been designed and manufactured in accordance with the general safety requirements; b) comply with the requirements set out in Annex 2); 3) are provided with the warning listed in Annex 5; 4) show the CE marking according to the Toy Labelling Ordinance (BGBl. No. 1029/1994). Five Annexes are enclosed.
