Abstract
The aim of the present Act is the protection of life and well being of animals as well as the protection of people from the danger resulting from animal keeping. However this Act does not apply to hunting and fishing. At the outset the Act contains a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed, such as “domestic animals”, “wild animals”, “animal keeper”, “slaughtering”, etc. The text consists of 15 articles and address issues of protection of animals; keeping of animals; authorities and procedures; animal protection organs; and penal provisions.
