Abstract
These Regulations restrict the movement of pinewood, both seasoned and unseasoned, into restricted movement zones if its presence may increase the risk of the spread of European house borer (“Hylotrupes bajulus Linnaeus”).
The Regulations further provide for: directions to store, treat or destroy pinewood in restricted movement zones; manner in which pinewood must be destroyed and treated; the obligation to report European House Borer infestation; and the treatment of infested structural pinewood.
