Abstract
These Regulations implement provisions of the Animal (Brands and Movement) Act 1984.
The Regulations provide for: animal brands and tags, and certificates of registration; procurement of permanent identification devices and tags; movement of pigs; vendor declarations and movement records for cattle, pigs, sheep and goats; the reporting of cattle movements from one property to another to the National Livestock Identification System; etc.

These Regulations enter into force on 1 January 2004.
