Abstract
An Act to implement for the Commonwealth provisions of the Convention on the Prevention of Marine Pollution by Dumping of Wastes and other Matter. Provisions of this Act deal with the prohibition of dumping of wastes and radioactive material in Australian waters by all vessels and dumping in the sea by Australian vessels, prescribe penalties, and provide for enforcement, prosecution, and restoration of the environment, permits required for the purposes of this Act and other matters (41 sections; the Act is completed by 3 Schedules containing the text of the Convention and Resolutions of Consultative Committees established by the Convention).
