Abstract
This policy, consisting of 9 Parts, divided into 33 sections, aiming at the achievement of objectives set out by the Environmental Protection Act 1994 set out in the present text applies to all waters of Queensland. The purpose of this policy is achieved by identifying environmental values and management goals for Queensland waters; stating water quality guidelines and water quality objectives to enhance or protect the environmental values; providing a framework for making consistent, equitable and informed decisions about Queensland waters; and monitoring and reporting on the condition of Queensland waters.
Entry into force notes
This Regulation enters into force on 28 August 2009.
