Abstract
The policy for the achievement of objectives set out by the Environmental Protection Act 1994 set out in the present text applies to all waters of Queensland. The policy here set out shall be achieved by: providing a framework for identifying values for Queensland waters; establishing water quality guidelines and objectives for those waters and carry and other objectives set out in article 6. Article 7 sets out basic aims of environment protection including biological integrity of the water ecosystem. Part 4 sets out management goals for waters, whereas Part 5 concerns the management of activities including impact monitoring and the monitoring of releases. Part 6 concerns the management of certain sources of contamination.
