Abstract
These Regulations implement the Fisheries Act 1995 by providing for the control and management of fisheries in Victoria on a sustainable basis and by facilitating the transition of existing licences under the Fisheries Act 1968 to licences with equivalent entitlements under the Fisheries Act 1995. The Regulations cover commercial fishery licences (Part 2), defines commercial fishery licence conditions (Part 3), regulates recreational licences (Part 4), sets prohibitions and restrictions on fishing (Part 5) including size limits, catch limits and seasons and prescribes offences and penalties.
