Marketing of Potatoes Regulations 1987.

These Regulations implement the Marketing of Potatoes Act 1947 by prescribing matters for giving effect and achieving the object of the Act.
The Regulations provide for the election and remuneration of members of the Potato Marketing Corporation and provide for functions, authorities and duties of inspectors. Inspectors may inspect any records or accounts related to potatoes or to land or premises on which potatoes are produced, stored, graded, packed or treated.
The Regulations provide forms for applying for the registration of commercial producers businesses, for an area licence, for market entitlements and for grower permits.
The Regulations further provide: for powers of the Corporation to set grading and packaging standards; for commercial producers to furnish to the Corporation planting, harvesting and delivery notices; functions of Primary Potato Agents appointed by the Corporation; etc.
