Abstract
These Regulations, made under the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage Act 2006 concern communications on petroleum discoveries between the permittee or lessee and the Designated Authority. The Designated Authority may require a permittee or lessee to give information the chemical composition and physical properties of the petroleum or the nature of the subsoil in which the petroleum occurs or any other matter relating to the discovery.
The Designated Authority may require a permittee, lessee, licensee, infrastructure licensee or pipeline licensee to survey the position of a specified well, pipeline, infrastructure facility, structure or equipment and report on the survey to the Designated Authority. If the Designated Authority is not satisfied with a report it may require further information.
