Abstract
This Act concerns the prevention, monitoring, control and eradication of plant pests and diseases. It provides for the packaging, labelling and description of plants and plant products and facilitates the movement of plants, plant products, used packages, used agricultural equipment and soil within and into and out of Victoria. The Act consists of 77 sections and is divided into the following parts: Preliminary (1); Plant pest and disease control (2); Exotic pests and diseases (3); Plants and plant products(4); Certification schemes (5); Compliance agreements and accreditation (6); Administration (7); Enforcement (8); Regulations (9) and Repeals, amendments, savings and transitional (10).

Version incorporating amendments as at 1 July 2012.This Act repeals the Fruit and Vegetables Act 1958, the Seeds Act 1982 and the Vegetation and Vine Diseases Act 1958.
