Abstract
This regulation implements the Radiation Safety Act 1999. It contains provisions on radiations sources apparatus and on the disposal of radioactive material into air, water and the sewerage system (Part 4). Part 5 concerns radiation safety and protection plans, Part 6 radiation safety officers, Part 7 monitoring and Part 8 sets radiation dose limits. Part 9 covers registration and disclosure of information, while Part 10 sets the fees payable under the Act. The regulation is completed by seven schedules: radionuclide concentrations and activities, disposal of radioactive material, qualifications, authorised persons, training, fees and dictionary.
