Abstract
This Act concerns the management of sewerage and the cleansing of metropolitan areas. It consists of 106 sections and is divided into seven Parts. It provides for the continuation of the Plumbing Advisory Board (Part 3) and for the construction and maintenance of sewers, dams, accommodation works, roads and streets (Part 4). The Act contains provisions on powers of inspectors and on penalties for offences related to interfering or damaging sewers and works (Part 5) and on the determination and recovery of sewerage rates.
