Abstract
The Regulations (63 sections) are divided into 8 Parts, i.e.: Preliminary (I); Administration (Part 1A); General duties of surveyor (II); Measurements and calculations (III); Datum line (IV); Monuments and reference marks (V); Field notes (VI); Water as a boundary (VII); Public surveys (VIIa);and Miscellaneous (VIII).

The Surveying Regulation 2001 (formerly Surveyors (Practice) Regulation 2001) made under the Surveyors Act 1929 is on and from 25.6.2003 taken to be a regulation under the Surveying Act 2002 No 83. See clause 10 of Schedule 3 to the Surveying Act 2002.
