Abstract
This Plan, consisting of 13 Parts, divided into 88 sections and done under the Water Act 2000, establishes the management plan for the Condamine and Balonne rivers. The purposes of this plan are to perform the following activities: (a) define the availability of water to which this plan applies; (b) provide a framework for sustainably managing water to which this plan applies; (c) identify priorities and mechanisms for dealing with the future water requirements in the plan area; (d) provide a framework for managing water allocations; and (e) provide a framework for reversing, where practicable, the degradation of natural ecosystems caused by the taking of, or interference with, water to which this plan applies. The Plan is divided as follows: Plan area, water to which plan applies and other matters (Part 2); Water plan outcomes (Part 3); Measures for achieving water plan outcomes (Part 4); Objectives and performance indicators (Part 5); Garden size and volume of water for watering (Part 6); Particular decisions about allocation or management of water (Part 7); Limitations on taking or interfering with water (Part 8); Unallocated water (Part 9); Water licences (Part 10); Water allocations (Part 11); Miscellaneous (Part 12); Expiry and transitional provisions (Part 13).
