Abstract
This Act provides for the management, allocation and use of water within sustainable limits and covers councils and authorities that own or operate water supply systems or sewerage systems in Queensland. The Act consists of 9 Chapters divided into 1246 sections: Preliminary (1); Allocation ad Sustainable Management (2); Water Supply and Demand Management (2A); Underground water management (3); Office of Groundwater Impact assessment (3A); Water Authorities (4); Investigations, Enforcement and Offences (5); Reviews, Appeals (6); Legal Proceedings (7); Miscellaneous (8); Transitional Provisions and Repeals (9).
