Abstract
This Act, consisting of 49 Sections divided into five Parts and completed by two Schedules, provides for the management and administration of zoological parks and gardens, establishes the Zoological Parks and Gardens Board and regulates its operation. Objectives of the Act include to conserve, protect, manage and improve the zoological parks and managed land and the zoological collections; to increase public knowledge and awareness of the zoological collections and the zoological parks through publications, educational programs and advisory services and other activities and to carry out and promote zoological research, the conservation of wildlife and its natural habitats and the maintenance of biodiversity.
