Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Italy on cooperation in the field of agriculture.

By the Presidential Decree No. 1777 dated 15 November 2006, Memorandum of Understanding between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Italy on cooperation in the field of agriculture was approved. The Parties agree upon carrying out activities regarding seed production, plant varieties, artificial insemination, breeding and selection, agro-industry, agricultural production, mineral fertilizers, plant production, veterinary drugs, ecologically clean agricultural products, agro-chemistry, genetic resources and biological materials of plants and animals, fodder production, pest management, veterinary services and irrigation methods. The Parties shall develop the cooperation by exchange of information, experience, scientific and technological innovations. The Parties may organize symposiums, seminars, conferences, exhibition and fair. Furthermore the Parties shall develop and implement joint projects. This MoU may be amended by mutual written consent. The dispute may be solved by consultations between the Parties. This MoU shall be valid for five years and automatically renewable with termination rights requiring six months written notice.
