Abstract
The general use of wildlife states the use of wild fauna and flora in their natural habitats in order to meet the vital needs of people. This Decree categorizes the general use in 4 categories, such as (i) use for research, cultural, educational and aesthetic purposes, (ii) use for exploitation of wildlife, (iii) use for wildlife products, and (iv) use for sport and amateur fishing. The specific use of wildlife states the use of wild fauna and flora out of their habitats, including hunting, fishing, reproduction and use for commercial, scientific research, cultural, educational and aesthetic purposes. This Decree underlines that in case of natural disasters, epizootic diseases and other circumstances which adversely affect the wildlife habitats, the use of wildlife shall be restricted by the State Committee of Control over Ecology and the Use of Natural Resources and the State Concern 'Azerbalig' due to the report of the Institute of Zoology of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Science.
