Abstract
This Law establishes legal grounds for management and conservation of wild fauna. The scope of this Law shall be to ensure conservation and rational management of all wild fauna species populating or transiting the national territory and also kept in captive breeding, natural habitats thereof, mating grounds, populations, embryos thereof and also other objects of wild fauna. Wild fauna on the national territory shall be state property (Art. 5). Basic principles of wild fauna management shall be as follows: (a) state control over protection, reproduction and management of wild fauna species; (b) protection of natural habitats, migratory routes, wintering grounds and stock enhancement of wild fauna species; (c) prevention of cruelty to wild fauna species; and (d) payment of fees for the use of wild fauna species (Art. 7). Management of wild fauna species shall be classified as general (without hunting, only aesthetic, recreational uses) and individual (capture, hunting for payment in accordance with permits) (Art. 12). Hunting and capture shall require issuance of hunting authorization or hunting permit for payment (Art. 15).
