Ministerial Decree No. 5 approving rules for ecological monitoring and certification in organic farming and functions of the accredited bodies.

This Decree states that period of transition to organic agriculture starts with an agreement signed between accredited body and the producer after ecological monitoring on all production processes. The accredited body shall carry out regular inspections, surveillance and analyses in compliance with the environmental standards for production during the transition period. In this period, farms may be allowed to sell products labelled as “product of transition period”. This Decree determines eco-friendly production processes during the monitoring. This Decree sets forth provisions on transition period, postponing or changing time of monitoring, certification and responsibilities of producers.
