Presidential Decree on enforcement of the Law of Azerbaijan Republic on amelioration and irrigation.

The President, in connection with entry into force of the Law of Azerbaijan Republic on amelioration and irrigation, in order to ensure application of the aforesaid Law, decrees as follows: 1) To establish, that the authority provided by Article 9 of the aforesaid Law shall be carried out by the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan Republic. 2) To establish that, the authority provided by Article 10 shall be carried out by the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan Republic. 3) To establish that the local bodies of the executive power are authorized in the field of amelioration and irrigation to prepare and approve ameliorative and irrigation programmes for district (city) territory based on Republican programmes in the field of amelioration and irrigation and to organize control of their implementation; to take part in financing of ameliorative and irrigation measures undertaken by means of state-owned amelioration and irrigation systems at the territory of a district (city); to organize works on rehabilitation of amelioration and irrigation systems damaged or destructed as a result of natural calamity at the territory of a district (city).
