Presidential Decree No. 1400 on a number of measures for the development of production and processing industry in the agricultural sector.

This Decree lays down rules for the development of the processing industry of competitive agricultural products and increased agricultural production along the value chain, with the aim of strengthening the export potential of the non-oil sector and ensuring food security. In order to ensure sustainable growth of production and processing in agriculture, this Decree authorizes the Council of Ministers to take measures in the fields of management and protection of lands, land classification, prevention of illegal use of lands, improvement of the mechanism of lease and use of agricultural lands for the purpose of efficient use of agricultural lands, application of land consolidation practices, establishment of irrigation infrastructure on agricultural lands by producers, application of customs and tax exemptions for agricultural products for export purposes, providing incentives to agricultural processing and production enterprises to reduce the dependency on imported goods, and providing state support to micro, small and medium enterprises engaged in agricultural production and processing.
