Presidential Decree No. 531 on approval of the Statute of national parks.

This Decree aims at a) protecting rare and unique natural areas and the historical and cultural objects, b) creating conditions for tourism and recreation, c) developing scientific methods for environmental protection and ecological enlightenment, d) training population in the field of environment, and e) actualising environmental monitoring. This Decree sets forth provisions on protection, scientific research activities, economic activities of and state control over national parks.
