Resolution No. 19 of the Food Safety Agency on veterinary and sanitary rules for the activities of meat sales establishments.

These Rules have been drafted in accordance with the provisions of the Veterinary Act No. 922-IIQ and the standard of the Codex Alimentarius Committee on the Code of hygienic practice for meat (CAC/RCP 58-2005). These Rules apply to activities related to the transportation, reception, storage and sale of meat and meat products by enterprises and to all types of enterprises engaged in the sale of meat and meat products. These Rules lay down requirements for the structure and location of the enterprises; requirements for tools and equipment at the enterprises; requirements for the transportation, storage and sale of meat and meat products; and sanitary and hygienic requirements for the meat sales establishments and their personnel. The sale of dangerous meat and meat products that do not comply with the requirements established in accordance with the Law on Food Safety is not permitted.
