Abstract
This Decision prescribes necessary animal health-sanitary conditions for imports of pigs for breeding or production, imports of pigs for slaughter, imports of pigs for breeding and fattening, all due to the presence of Aujeszky's disease, as well as methods of related testing, reporting, and issues on animal vaccination.
The Annex is also part of this publication (Annex I containing the list of countries or their areas free of Aujeszky's disease, where vaccination is prohibited; Annex II contains the list of Member States or their territories which apply approved Aujeszky's disease control programmes; Annex III provides for the list of serological test standards for Aujeszky 's disease, in particular Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) protocol for detection antibodies to Aujeszky 's disease virus, for glycoprotein B (ADV-gB), for glycoprotein D (ADV-gD) or for glycoprotein E (ADV-gE); Annex IV contains the list of information to be collected in the event of Aujeszky's disease).
