Abstract
This Decision sets forth veterinary health requirements applying to aquaculture animals (including crustaceans) and to fish caught by vessels, with a view to ensuring safety of fish products and crustaceans for human consumption. It also lays down hygienic requirements to be met by fish farms. The Decision also regulates the procedure to be followed to authorize the installation of aquaculture establishments. Such establishments must implement a Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) system. Further provisions concern the placing on the market and importation of fish products, as well as their transportation and storage.
