Abstract
This Law regulates the manner of classification, handling of animal by-products and their products not intended for human consumption, methods of their processing, hygienic conditions, manner of their transport, conditions for construction of facilities for collection, processing and disposal of animal by-products, procedure with animal by-products in special cases, the manner of conducting official control and self-control, as well as the manner of disposal of such by-products of animal origin. This Law applies to: a) by-products of animal origin and their products not intended for human consumption laid down in special regulations, and b) products which, by decision of the manufacturer, are no longer intended for human consumption, such as: 1) products of animal origin that can be intended for human consumption in accordance with regulations in the field of veterinary medicine and 2) raw materials of animal origin intended for the production of products of animal origin. Chapter VI sets supervision and penalty provisions.

Entry into force notes
This Law shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the "Official Gazette of the Republika Srpska", and it shall apply from 1 June 2014.
