Abstract
This Law determines the goals and principles of development planning and development management a regards the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including its cantons and local units.
The establishment of the development planning and development management system in the Federation grants: a transparent and harmonized development planning and development management, cantons and local self-government units; the best interest of the citizens of the Federation, coordination and integration of strategic documents and public and other financial resources, in order to ensure the realization of development priorities.
This text defines the classification of strategic documents; types of documents necessary in the process of implementation of such strategic documents; national and local bodies responsible for development planning and development management; monitoring, evaluation and reporting over the effective implementation of the above mentioned strategic documents; financing of the implementation of strategic documents, and supervision over the application of the rules here stipulated.
This Law is divided in VI Chapters and 38 articles. The Chapters are: Basic provisions (I); Institutional framework for development planning and management in the Federation (II); Strategic and implementation documents on the Federation (III); Process of development planning and programming of development in the Federation and evaluation of Federal strategic documents (IV); Financing of the implementation of development priorities in the Federation and supervision over the application of this Law (V); and Transitional and final provisions (VI).
