Abstract
This Law regulates the financial support in primary agricultural production, more closely defining the: source and amount of resources, persons who are entitled to receive the financial support, allocation and use of resources/funds, commitments and concrete implementation/realization of the financial support, and supervision and monitoring duties.
Financial support (incentives, subsidies and co-payments), as here defined, are funds for the improvement of primary agricultural production, which represents a highly interesting market and economic issues of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Major objectives of this Law are the following: creation of commercial family farms and raising the level of production in self-sufficiency, and the creation of new capacity, which would respect the rules of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and EU principles; reducing the effective dependence on imports; stabilization of the market of agricultural and food products; guaranteed and safe supply of the population with adequate price; retention of the population in the countryside; overall rural development.
This Law is divided into VIII Chapters and 29 articles, including the offences and related penalties.
