Abstract
This Law regulates the system of protection and rescue of people, plant and animal life, material, cultural, historical and environmental goods from the effects caused by natural disasters, technical and technological, ecological and other accidents or war risks.
This text sets the rights and duties of citizens and responsible national bodies, including those cantonal and municipal, companies and other legal entities, in relation to their task related to the protection object if this Law.
Programming, planning, organizing, training and education, financing, with the aim of preventing the danger, reducing the number accidents and victims, and the elimination and mitigation of harmful effects and the consequences of natural and other disasters are all elements determined in this publication.
The text is divided into XVII Chapters and 204 articles. Chapters are as follows: Basic provisions (I); Rights and duties of citizens (II); Rights and duties of authorities of the federation, canton, cities and municipalities (III); Rights and duties of economic society and other legal entities (IV); Participation of Bosnian armed forces in protection and rescue (V); Organization of civil protection (VI); Material equipment and records (VII); Operational civil protection center (VIII); Training and education (IX); Programming and planning (X); Engagement of civil protection agencies, citizens and legal entities on protection and responsibility (XI); Financing and fees (XII); Inspection supervision (XIII); Working relations (XIV); Awards in civil protection (XV); Penalty provisions (XVI); Transitional and final provisions (XVII).
