Abstract
This Law closely regulates general and specific production and processing rules, quality and analysis/test requirements, issues fort the mandatory protection of geographical indications, declaration/labelling and other provisions of great importance as regards the strong alcoholic beverages (spirit drinks, brandies) and their production and marketing sector.
This Law also stipulates the classification rules for such drinks, intended for human use with specific sensory properties and a minimum alcohol content of 15%.
The text is divided into VIII Chapters and 57 articles, including the offences and consequential penalties (see Chapter VII).
