Abstract
This Programme, based on the provisions of the Law on plant health protection (Republic of Srpska), determines the measures, deadlines, manner of implementation of related measures, entities that implement them, sources and manner of provision and use of funds, as well as the manner of control over the implementation of measures of special supervision over the presence of the harmful organism Candidatus Phytoplasma solani (Stolbur phytoplasma), (Quaglino et al., 2013) in the Republika Srpska in 2021. The goal of this Programme is to determine attendance, that is absence of the harmful organism Candidatus Phytoplasma solani (Stolbur phytoplasma). The most important host plants of the Candidatus Phytoplasma solani (Stolbur phytoplasma) are plants from family Solanaceae (potatoes, tobacco, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, Solanum nigrum and Datura stramonium), weeds and cultivated plants from the family Asteraceae (carrots, celery, chicory), vines, strawberries, lavender, corn and sugar beet. Plants of the genus Prunus, such as plum, peach, cherry and almond, have also been recorded as hosts, mainly in Iran and Azerbaijan. Unlike the listed plants that are in most cases the ultimate hosts of this phytoplasma, the gourd (Convolvulus arvensis L.) and the nettle (Urtica dioica L.) are the most important reservoirs of this phytoplasma and the main vector Hyalesthes obsoletus Signoret. Candidatus Phytoplasma saline is a regulated pest in the European Union called potato stolbur mycoplasma in Annex II, Part A, Section II of the Council Directive 2000/29/EC and EPPO A2 lists for plants of the Solanacea family intended for planting and seeds.
