Abstract
This Law regulates the protection of plant health, related transport, plants and plant products, health control of plants, the competence of phytosanitary inspection and various other issues relevant to the necessary implementation of plant health protection measures and principles on the territory of the Republic of Srpska (part of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina).
Plant health protection includes: protection of plants, plant products and regulated objects from harmful organisms; prevention of the introduction and spread of harmful organisms and their suppression application by phytosanitary measures; detection and identification of harmful organisms; optimization of the production and circulation of plants, plant products and regulated facilities; protection of the environment from the effects of harmful organisms; sustainable management, preservation of the integrity and diversity; concrete technological practices, measures and procedures for the protection of plant health; education and public information.
The Law is divided into XII Chapters and 102 articles, including offences and related penalties.
