Programme of special control of quarantine harmful organisms on potatoes in Republika Srpska in 2020.

This Special surveillance programme, as in accordance with the provisions of the Law on plant health protection (Republic of Srpska), determines the measures, deadlines, manner of management of those measures, entities that will implement them, sources and the manner of providing and using of funds, and the manner of control over the implementation of special presence control measures as regards quarantine harmful organisms on potatoes in Republika Srpska in 2020. The aim of this programme is to determine the presence or absence of quarantine pests on potatoes at points of entry of consignments of potatoes imported into Republika Srpska, and at places where production potato seeds and mercantile potatoes are produced or processed, in distribution centers and on storage sites. In order to achieve the stated goal, a special supervision shall investigate a wider area or localities on which potatoes are cultivated, in order to determine the status of such investigated area in relation to target organisms, and determining possible routes of their entry and/or expansion. The goal of special supervision is also the fulfillment of phytosanitary conditions for production, relocation and especially export of potatoes.
