Abstract
This Regulation determines the rules and provisions governing the active and intelligent materials and items intended to be in contact with foods and foodstuff, including special conditions for placing on the market of such active and intelligent materials and items intended also for food packaging and similar.
These intelligent materials and items are designed to contain components that should be released or absorbed as substances sometimes aimed at preserving the food and environment.
