Abstract
This Law lays down the general principles and requirements for the safety, hygiene and quality of food in all stages of production, processing, treatment and distribution of food, as well as for feed for food producing animals, or animals used in the production of food. The text consists of 15 Parts divided into 76 articles as following: General Provisions (I); General Principles (II); Health Correctness of Food (III); Food Quality (IV); Export and Import of Food (V); Register and Approval of Sites (VI); Food Business Operators Responsibilities (VII); New Food (VIII); Official Control of Food Health Correctness, Hygiene and Quality (IX); Authorized Resting and Reference Laboratories (X); Crisis management and Emergencies (XI); Feed (XII); Food Safety Agency (XIII); Agency Civil Servants and Staff (XIV); Internal Organization-Work Program (XV) and Penal Provisions (XVI). In order to ensure food and health correctness, as well as implementations of the international conventions and treaties in the field of food the Council of Ministers shall establish the Food Safety Agency at the state level.
