Abstract
This Regulation determines the conditions to be met by male breeding herds in terms of their semen, when it is used for artificial insemination, including issues on the quality that the parents and the embryo should have in order to grant the implementation of successful embryo transfer.
This text sets detailed indications on semen quality and health; semen treatment in case of artificial insemination; and conditions for importation of semen and fertilizing ova. Artificial insemination semen and fertilized ova may be imported or procured, only from registered and authorized reproductive centers, if originate from animals with good health conditions (no disease), that it has been taken, processed, stored and transported according to adopted related rules (including certifications for all these passages).
