Regulation on conditions that must be met by users of funds from the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This Regulation, based on the provisions of the Law on environmental protection fund and of the Statute of the environmental protection fund of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, prescribes the conditions that must be met by all users of funds of the Environmental Protection Fund of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Beneficiaries of Fund's assets can be legal and natural persons who invest funds in programmes, projects and similar activities in the field of conservation, sustainable use, protection and improvement of the environment. Legal entities are bodies and authorities of state administrations, local self-government units and entities registered within the competent court, i.e. competent administrative bodies for performing activities from areas of the environment. Natural persons are persons which are registered within the competent administrative body for performing activities from environmental related sectors or areas. The Fund's resources are used to finance environmental protection, in particular: protection, preservation and improvement of air, soil, water and sea quality, and climate change mitigation and protection of the ozone layer; remediation, encouragement of waste avoidance and reduction; exploitation of valuable properties and waste treatment; protection and preservation of biological and landscape diversity; implementation of energy programmes; demining programmes; improvement and construction of infrastructure for environmental protection; improving the monitoring and assessment of the state of the environment, and introduction of the system for environmental management; encouraging the sustainable use of natural resources; encouraging sustainable economic activities, i.e. sustainable economic development; encouraging research, development studies, programmes, projects and other activities, including demonstration activities.
