Regulation on the conditions for performing disinfection, disinsection, deratization and radiological decontamination.

This Regulation prescribes the conditions that must be met by veterinary stations and other legal and natural persons which, in order to prevent animal and human diseases, perform tasks such as disinfection, disinsection, deratization and radiological decontamination. Rules here provided are regarding professionals, premises, equipment and manner for the performance of related tasks and work.
Disinfection, disinsection, deratization and radiological decontamination as a veterinary health measure is carried out in order to protect the environment from contamination by causative agents and vectors of animal diseases and zoonoses and environmental contamination substances that emit harmful radiation. Disinfection means the organization of and implementation of preventive sanitation measures that include possible use of mechanical, physical and chemical processes and manners aimed to destroy or inactivate the causative microorganisms of infectious diseases. Disinsection means the organization and implementation of preventive sanitation measures that include the use mechanical, physical and chemical processes and means for destruction of insects or arthropods that can cause disease or transmit animal and human pathogens. Deratization means the organization and implementation of preventive sanitation measures that include the use of mechanical, physical and chemical processes and manners aimed to destroy rodents that transmit disease agents, or are reservoirs of animal and human pathogens. Radiological decontamination is considered to be the application mechanical, physical or chemical methods and manners for removal of radioactive substances from the contaminated surface, animals and humans or from a contaminated environment.
